Catching Up directed by Tom DeSimone (Lancer Brooks)
Reminiscent of an era gone by, this film features excellent production values and a cohesive plot (love, coming out, forgiveness). Keith Anthoni – in a sensitive performance – stars as a man just out of the closet, in his first relationship. His lover (John Farrel) has become restless with monogamy and wants an open relationship. The two men get into an argument at a restaurant, thus beginning a journey of sexual exploration and new ideas about relationships structures and commitment. Keith has “a lot of catching up to do,” which includes a kinky hookup, a porno theater threeway, and – most significantly – passionate encounters with the handsome waiter from the restaurant (Jayson MacBride). This character piece by director Tom DeSimone is a sexy, entertaining, and contemplative examination of sex and relationships in the ’70s. "A beautiful, witty, erotic piece of filmmaking... It is a definite must see for all connoisseurs of pornography." - Long Island Beat
