Avg Rating: 5.0

Studio: Hand in Hand
Directed By: Jack Deveau
Release Date: 01-07-1975
Description: A ballet dancer's life is disrupted by an affair with a truck driver in this ambitious Jack Deveau-directed film shot in Manhattan, which features a compelling story, well-realized characters, complex emotions, raunchy gay porn action, and wonderful ballet sequences. This is cinema first, like much of the output of Hand in Hand Films. The sex serves to illustrate the larger themes, one of which is the attraction of opposites. This sexual comedy of manners of sorts touches on class, closetedness, and unrequited longing and is strong on realism, which makes the sex so much more interesting; it's like you're watching real people have sex, not automatons. A fascinating film.
